New to Winlink Express ver. 1.2.36.2 and above

Message Generator

When starting Winlink Express

Note: Only the message system is started.

At this point you generate a P2P or Winlink message which includes reqular emails

When creating your message you must decide if you are creating a P2P or WL2K first

P2P:

1. To start click on MESSAGE

2. Click NEW MESSAGE

3. Enter that CALL SIGN of the station

4. Click on SELECT TEMPLATE

5. Click on P2P

6. Click on PRECEDENCE that the message is. (or Sitrep)

7. Click on P2P - CALL SIGN

This will automatically fill the basic information to the message

Add the rest of the message information and POST TO OUTBOX

WL2K:

1. To start click on MESSAGE

2. Click NEW MESSAGE

3. Enter that CALL SIGN of the station

4. Click on SELECT TEMPLATE

5. Click on WL2K

6. Click on PRECEDENCE that the message is. (or Sitrep)

7. Click on WL2K - CALL SIGN

This will automatically fill the basic information to the message

Add the rest of the message information and POST TO OUTBOX

You message will be automatically put in the OUTBOX

When sending P2P choose session Packet P2P

When sending WL2K choose session Packet WL2K

Once it is sent it is no longer in the OUTBOX it is in the SENT box.

All of those transmissions are logged.

This is your audit trail that your Local Authority requires for all Exercises and Real events.
